The Memorial Hospital


The Memorial Hospital is a private not-for-profit hospital and is an Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance Incorporated (ACHA) hospital. The Memorial Hospital has a long and proud tradition of providing first class private healthcare in the picturesque parklands of North Adelaide.

Established as a memorial to veterans of World War I, The Memorial Hospital has served the community since 1920 and has been awarded the prestigious Australian Private Hospital Association Award for Excellence. Our landmark heritage building is within one kilometre of Adelaide’s CBD and within walking distance of Adelaide Oval. It is well serviced by on and off street parking and public transport.

The Memorial offers a range of specialties, including Orthopaedic Surgery, ENT (Otorhinolaryngology) Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Ophthalmology, General Medicine, Paediatric Surgery, Rehabilitation, Sub-Acute Care, EEG studies and Sleep Studies.

The Memorial is committed to providing the highest possible standards of patient care, with 115 beds, 24-hour on-site medical officers and an on-site Critical Care Unit.

In addition, on offer are on-site Radiology and Pathology services.

Ashford Hospital


Ashford Hospital is a private hospital located 5 km south west of Adelaide in South Australia. With 239 beds, it is South Australia’s largest private hospital and considered a centre for clinical and medical excellence.

Recently Ashford Hospital embarked upon an $8 million theatre expansion project which added three new state of the art digital theatres and a colonoscopy and endoscopy room. This addition further complements our existing seven theatres and angiography suites.

Our high level of services enables us to perform a broad range of diagnostic, interventional and surgical procedures. Ashford Hospital is fully equipped with the highest level of private intensive, neonate and maternal care available in South Australia with the additional back up of high dependency, a cardiac care unit and a cardiac surgical unit. A comprehensive range of facilities including, Medical Imaging and Pathology on site supports these services.

Ashford Hospital is complemented by an Emergency Department and a 24/7 Chest Pain Clinic. The Ashford Emergency Department is open between 8am and 10pm, 7 days per week and out of these hours the Ashford Chest Pain Clinic can be accessed via ambulance.

Sportsmed SA Hospital


SPORTSMED·SA has led the way not only in South Australia, but also nationally, providing patients modern hospital care and was the first hospital to provide patients with guaranteed private rooms with ensuite bathrooms.

Over the years SPORTSMED·SA and its hospital have grown to become not only a leading South Australian health facility, but also a world-renowned specialist service and sports clinic.

In 2008 the hospital underwent a $4.5 million expansion, which included the addition of a new fully-equipped theatre, an increase in bed numbers by 40 per cent in the first-stage recovery area and a 60 per cent increase in chairs in second-stage recovery.

In 2010 our hospital was ranked the number one private hospital in Australia in the Medibank Private member survey for patient satisfaction. This was the first time a South Australian hospital had been awarded the top Australian ranking out of 144 private hospitals.

Currently the hospital has five operating theatres, 45 inpatient beds (and 4 High Dependency Unit beds) and 16 day surgery recovery chairs. Currently there are 13 surgeons practicing with SPORTSMED·SA and over 300 staff that help treat over 130,000 patients per year.

Tennyson Centre Day Hospital

Tennyson Centre Day Hospital is located on the first floor and encompasses a day surgery unit.

It is a technologically advanced facility offering specialist services with an emphasis on urology, endoscopy and ophthalmology.

Western Hospital


Since it’s official opening in 1974 Western Hospital has had a long and successful history of providing surgical and medical acute care services to the residents of the Western suburbs.

This history continues and although the hospital is not owned by the community, the vision and mission remains paramount. This mission is to ensure that all patients receive outstanding care.

The hospital was saved from closure by a group of dedicated health care professionals who, under their stewardship, have guaranteed the future of the hospital for the residents that it serves.

North Eastern Community Hospital


North Eastern Community Hospital, Campbelltown is a not-for-profit community owned private hospital and nursing home facility situated at Campbelltown 10 km north east of the city of Adelaide, South Australia.

The complex has 60 acute bed licences, 8 Day beds and a Nursing Home of 84 high care licensed beds. The complex is community owned and focused, and was established in 1973 on the initiative of a small number of medical practitioners, and two local councils, and with funding assistance from the Commonwealth Government.

A Board of Management comprising of voluntary medical and community elected representatives determines the strategic direction and policy of the organisation.

As a not-for-profit community-based complex, all surplus funds are reinvested in improving and upgrading services, facilities and equipment.

Our modern 60 bed hospital includes a 8 Bed Day Surgery Unit and Private Room accommodation, 2 Operating Theatres, Gastroenterology Procedure Room and specialises in General Surgery, Medical, Obstetrics, Orthopaedics, Laparoscopic Surgery, Gynaecology and Plastics.
